Join us for a shared silence for our planet at 3 PM on the first Saturday of every month at the City Pavilion (Stadshal) in Ghent. We share this silence because we are worried about the consequences of climate change.
Feel free to bring your coat, sun protection if needed, a chair or pillow, and anything else that will make sitting in silence comfortable for you. Everyone is welcome to join without registration.
We kindly ask that you do not bring signs or wear clothes with activist messaging. We would like to share silence in all possible ways!
We start at 3 PM and have three blocks of 15 minutes of silence, with a short break in between.
Afterward, you are welcome to join us for a drink and share (or listen to) some reflections about our shared experience.
Who is Samen Stil?
This initiative is born from citizens who believe in the power of silence. Silence is a source of peace and a wellspring of inspiration. We invite everyone to engage with what comes alive during our collective silence.
